Address: 11060 111 Ave.More Dates to be added later.Welcome to the Clansmen Junior / Mini Rugby site.The 2008 season is quickly approaching with registration starting in February and the season starting in the beginning of May. The Clansmen Junior / Mini rugby program is committed to offering a mini-rugby program that promotes rugby at the grassroots level. The ultimate goal is to develop a positive environment in which the participants: · Have fun by creating a safe and fun community for young rugby players, both boys and girls · develop a passion for the sport of rugby · develop strong rugby skills
Rugby is a game everyone can enjoy…. no matter what shape, size, sex or age you are. Rugby is a game to play with friends. It’s about joining a community and making lifelong friends. By playing rugby, children learn real life values like teamwork, pride and camaraderie.
Why Play?Safety: Through non-contact versions of rugby, children as young as 5 can enjoy this great game.
Community: rugby is known worldwide for offering a family oriented, inclusive environment.
Personal Development: Rugby is physically challenging, teaches leadership skills, builds self esteem and is great fun for kids - moms and dads too.
Fun: It’s about having fun and learning new skills.
Inclusive: rugby welcomes all levels of athlete.
Coaching: mini coaches are well trained and must be certified before stepping on the field. safety is #1 for our minis.

REGISTRATIONThere will be a number of registrations dates this year. They are as follows: Sat. February 23th 12:00 to 3:00 pm Clansmen Clubhouse Sun. February 24th 12:00 to 3:00 pm Clansmen Clubhouse Sat. March 15th 12:00 to 3:00 pm Clansmen Clubhouse Sun. March 16th 12:00 to 3:00 pm Clansmen Clubhouse
Note: All Players must register at the clubhouse
SeasonThe Mini / Junior rugby season runs from the 1st week end in May to the start of July. There will be regular Mini Rugby Jamborees on Sunday mornings for all these age groups throughout the season. Please watch the Calendar / Dates section of the web page for upcoming schedules.
Please note that per Rugby Alberta regulations, all players must wear mouth guards at all times during practices and games. Mouth guards will be on sale at the club on registration day: there will also be a second hand boots and equipment swap that day.
Age Groups and Fees for 2008 RUGBY SEASON
Please Note: While the club strives to keep fees as low as possible, especially for younger members, there are several factors that have unavoidably led to fee increases this season. They include a significant increase in the cost of insurance for both players and club as well as commitments for maintenance to fields and club facilities.
Fees paid to enroll in Youth Rugby programs are eligible for the government's new Children's Fitness Tax Credit (valid tax receipt required)
The Club will issues tax receipts by the end of November 2008. Any individuals withdrawing & receiving a refund will not be issued a tax receipt.
