Looking to play women’s rugby in Edmonton? Look no further! Welcome to the Clanswomen of the Edmonton Clansmen Rugby Club. The women’s side is a long-standing contributor to this club that boasts a high level of rugby played on the field and a close-knit family and social scene off the field. We are conveniently located in downtown Edmonton, easily accessible by transit and close to college and University campuses. The Clan have a fantastic clubhouse and access to two fields for training and games.  Our 2012 season was our most successful to date, with coach Matthew Parrish (coach of the University of Alberta Panda’s, Alberta, and past coach of National 15’s side) at the helm. We finished third in the Premiere division in the province, playing against provincial and national-level players in a highly competitive division. We were very happy to welcome Kelly Brazier (New Zealand Black Ferns) back for her second year to play in Canada and we wish her all the best in her efforts to play 7’s in the Olympics! The Clanswomen supported four players who played for the provincial side this year. We also won several tournaments: Jasper 7s and Rugbyfest, as well as playimg at Stampede 7s in the highest division and playing recreationally at Banff 10s.
