Welcome to Clan Rugby

The Edmonton Clansmen Rugby Football Club plans again in 2012 to compete at all levels of Alberta men’s, women’s and youth rugby. A team of coaches is being organized so that every player, regardless of age, gender, experience or ability, will have access to the coaching necessary to maximize their enjoyment and for the general development of the game.

The club has two playing fields, one full sized, irrigated and used for games, the other under development and used for training. It has a large clubhouse with men’s and women’s changing facilities, extensive social amenities with decks over looking the playing field. These facilities are located close to down town. The Clan is also a co-owner of Ellerslie Rugby Park which is also a venue for Clan fixtures.

The club prides its self on its social programs which are an integral part of fund raising for rugby and other charities. The Clan is supported by an active group of former players.

The Clan was formed in 1967 and has over the years more often than not been the premier club in Edmonton. It expects to extend this record in 2012.
